Love Korean Sandwiches? This post is for you!
I had the opportunity to try out Alien and Coco which recently opened its doors this year in the heart of Melbourne CBD’s laneway. Alien & Coco is a Korean-inspired cafe specialising in different varieties of coffee & sandwiches operated by Rus.alien , famous Melbourne sensation TikToker, who is so kind to pay for the groceries of others, one grocery shop at a time.
Beef Bulgogi Cheesesteak.
The Beef Bulgogi Cheesesteak was one of my favourites to try from Alien & Coco – softly toasted brioche filled with marinated Korean bulgogi beef , house-made special sauce, lettuce, slices of jalapeno, shredded mozzarella & parmesan cheese, all combined so well creating the ultimate enjoyable Korean sandwich experience. A Melbourne laneway cafe to add to your bucket list when visiting!
Kimchi Melt Sandwich.
Kimchi & cheese, yes please! Defs a must-try sandwich for kimchi lovers. The Kimchi Melt with sourdough bread toasted nicely with a crisp, filled with kimchi, special house-made sauce, melted American & mozzarella cheese. It was super cheesy with kick of spice to it. I could literally eat this everyday.Â
Jolly Pong Shake & Yuzu Ice Latte.
It was my first time trying out Jolly Pong Shake. A refreshing shake top with Korean puffed wheat cereal, which goes so well with the Kimchi melt to cool you down.
The Yuzu Ice Latte was another refreshing signature drink to try out, topped with a sweet yet refreshing Yuzu cold foam. Definitely recommend for those wanting a twist to their daily dose of caffeine coffeeÂ
