RICE FIELDS RESTAURANT

Asian Food Lovers? This post is for you!

Rice Fields Restaurant Melbourne

I was super excited to try out Rice Fields Restaurant, an eatery that serves authentic fusion mouth-watering Chinese & Vietnamese modern cuisine here northwest of Melbourne. This is one for all the Asian food lovers out there, who enjoy delicious Asian modern cuisine.

Char Keow Teow.

Char Keow Teow is one of my old-school favourites. The well-cooked flat rice noodles were soft with the chewy prawns, slices of fishcake, bean shoot & veggies – all of which combined so well together! The charred flavour from the wok-hay really produced an appetising experience.

Sizzling Garlic Prawns.

I was salivating when the Garlic Prawns came out still sizzling. The prawns were prepared well, with aromatic tastes from the garlic. Served with vibrant crunchy slices of onions, broccoli & carrots. This was a great dish to share.

Beef & Chinese Broccoli.

I haven’t had Beef & Chinese Broccoli for a while. The beef was soft, moist & easy to bite. The Chinese broccoli was juicy & crunchy, went so well with the beef chunks, adding a fusion of flavours to the dish.

Grilled Pork on Vermicelli.

The Grilled Pork on Vermicelli is one of my favourite Vietnamese dishes. The grilled pork was well marinated & seasoned with a chargrilled taste to it. The vermicelli was soft & chewy, which goes so well with the Bun dressing giving the fragrant & taste of sweet, acidic flavours from the lime with a hint of fish sauce. Topped with crushed peanuts giving the crunch to the dish & fresh cucumbers

Fried Rice.

The fried rice had a strong char from the wok-hay combined with my favourite diced char siu pork, Chinese sausage, shrimps & veggies creating a delicious rice dish. A must try if you love your fried rice!

Coconut Sago with Fruit.

To be honest, it was my first time trying out Coconut Sago with Fruit. The coconut cream on top was so creamy, went so well with the sago on the bottom. Mixed in with the crushed popping candy, strawberry & blackberries, it produced a sweet, sour & fun eating experience. I highly recommend this refreshing dessert after your meal.
